The Bridgeport Golf Squad's Inspiring Journey​

 

In the heart of Wise County, Texas, where community ties run deep and Friday night lights shine bright, a group of young athletes has quietly carved out a legacy on the greens. The Bridgeport High School Golf Squad, affectionately known as the Bulls, has transformed from a modest team into back-to-back Class 4A state champions, capturing the attention and admiration of the entire state.

Their 2025 state championship victory wasn't just a repeat—it was a resounding statement. Dominating the competition by 27 strokes, the Bulls showcased not only their skill but also their unwavering determination and team spirit. Sophomore Aiden Green led the charge, clinching the individual state title with a remarkable 3-under 69 in the final round. Senior Brady Mann, a cornerstone of the team, secured a commendable third-place finish, exemplifying leadership and consistency.

But this was far from a solo effort. This title was earned by a brotherhood of players who each stepped up when it mattered most.
Zach Kehoe, Collin Moody, Cason Lanfear, and Colton Paradise all played crucial roles throughout the season and in the championship run—bringing grit, stability, and clutch performances that shaped the Bulls’ dominant team score. Their camaraderie and drive lifted the entire squad, turning individual rounds into a team triumph.

And behind it all is Coach Alan Green, who not only guided the team to repeat titles but also helped build young men of character. As both coach and father to Aiden, he leads with integrity and vision—instilling a legacy of discipline, humility, and heart.

Now, the Bulls are setting their sights on a new challenge: the High School Golf National Invitational at Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina—one of the most iconic courses in American golf. This invitation-only event brings together the top high school teams from across the country, and for Bridgeport, it’s the chance to prove that greatness can come from anywhere. But. this dream comes with real-world costs. Because this is not a UIL sanctioned event, no travel, accommodations, and tournament expenses will be covered by the school—so the Bridgeport Golf Squad Booster Club is stepping in to help make it possible.
